Date: Mon, 22 Mar 1999 12:28:16 -0500 From: Dave Ahn Subject: RES-RSA 2.9.1, U.S. version released This version synchronizes the packaging with Kurt's PGP-RSA 2.9 which was released over the weekend. Since the packaging is the only difference, the decrypt key is identical to the one used in U.S. RES-RSA 2.9 which was released last week. RES-RSA 2.9.1 has been released. This version contains: * New configure and file packaging called res-rsa shell to make all non- crypto files identical between the U.S. and Euro RES-RSA packages. * Vanilla server 2.9pl3 and above now automagically recognizes this new packaging. The older RES-RSA 2.7 and 2.9 packages are still compatible with both servers and clients, so there is no need to upgrade unless the new features are desired. Compiling RES-RSA >= 2.9 with the Vanilla server 2.9pl2 or earlier may require some manual tweaking with the system.mk and Makefiles. The package is available at ftp://ftp.netrek.org/pub/netrek/rsa/res-rsa-2.9.1.tar.gz.crypt ftp://ftp.netrek.org/pub/netrek/rsa/res-rsa-2.9.1.tar.gz.pgp (PGP encrypted) md5sum: e59fabade1954189a289ef05f4cc8a24 res-rsa-2.9.1.tar.gz.crypt md5sum: e3aba2581badd1df4324cd543c157d87 res-rsa-2.9.1.tar.gz.pgp Please contact rsakey@us.netrek.org for the decrypt key if you are a U.S. user. You must assert your U.S. citizenship and agree to export and license terms before the decrypt key will be released to you.
